Brad Pitt is reportedly struggling to cope with his divorce from Angelina Jolie, but luckily, a source claims he has the support of his oldest son, Maddox.

According to a new report, Pitt and Maddox have remained close, despite their alleged dispute on a plane earlier this month, which reportedly prompted Jolie's divorce filing.

“Maddox has been Brad’s rock these last few days. Brad is trying to be strong for the kids but he’s really been opening up to Maddox,” a source told Hollywood Life on Saturday. “He is only 15, but he is really wise beyond his years, and it’s kind of like the father/son role has switched up this week and Maddox is being a parent to Brad."

Pitt and Jolie are parents to Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, and Zahara, 11, all of whom are adopted, and also share three biological children, 10-year-old Shiloh and 8-year old twins Vivienne and Knox.

In a second report, a source confirmed that despite the allegations of child abuse against him, Pitt was refusing to say anything negative about Jolie.

"He will only say positive things about [the] mother [of his children]," a source told Entertainment Tonight on Monday. "He has also made it clear to friends to not say anything negative about her. He continues to hope that there is an amicable resolution in the interest of the kids."

Although Pitt has been accused of lunging at Maddox during a flight to Los Angeles last month, the source claimed nothing inappropriate took place between them.

"There was no inappropriate physical contact. Nothing inappropriate happened," the source said, noting that the incident was “totally a child-parent disagreement."
