The Flash is doubling down - if you thought the Flashpoint universe wasn't going to make your head spin, you thought wrong.

The photos are in for episode 2, and, fittingly, "Paradox" has us scratching our heads. From the return of Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp) to a glimpse of the Cisco (Carlos Valdes) outside of his Flashpoint duds, the Oct. 11 hour is already full of surprises.

Yes, you read that right. Earth-3's Crimson Comet is back in Central City, and, this time around, he's a bona fide hero.

That scene in the Motor Car diner (see video below)? We're willing to bet our Barry (Grant Gustin) isn't talking to his father. Unless that line is a flashback to the beginning of Barry's new timeline (three months prior to the premiere), that line would be better aimed at a fellow time-traveling speedster, i.e. Jay Garrick.

Cisco, meanwhile, will shed his three-piece suits for something a little bit more comfortable. Hair down and a look of intense concentration etched across his face, this is the Cisco we know and love. The gauntlet in front of him, however, remains a mystery.

Elsewhere, Tom Felton’s Julian Albert will make his debut as a fellow CCPD CSI. As he works with Joe and Barry to investigate Central City’s latest crime, Iris will show up to talk with her estranged father.

With Barry, danger is never far off. The Flash will continue to battle the Rival in episode 2.

“Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought,” The CW teased. “Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian’s immediate disdain for Barry.”
