Google has recently confirmed that its next big launch event will be held on this upcoming October 4th, 2016. In this event, some new devices like two new smartphones, the Pixel and Pixel XL: are speculated to be revealed.

But what's more exciting is that the company may be announcing a major product line-up in the form of a new operating system: 'Andromeda.' Andromeda is reported to be made with the superlative combination of Android OS and Chrome OS, which is already regarded as a great achievement of Google's Android team and Chrome team.

According to the reports of Android Police, Andromeda will make its debut with Google's new Pixel laptop. The new version of Pixel laptop is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2017.The project is reported to be named internally as 'Bison' and called informally as 'Pixel.'  However, the new laptop is not expected to be branded and marketed as Chromebook, given that it will be unveiled as a tremendous device exclusively for Google's new combined 'hybrid' Operating System.

As per the recent development, Bison is speculated to be designed as an 'ultra-thin' device with 10 mm thickness and a crystal clear display of 12.3 inches. The device, being a notebook, is also reported to be usable in 'tablet mode' with stylus support. Although it hasn't been cleared yet by Google authorities that whether the device will be convertible, with a screen that can be folded upside down or can be detached. 

The expected specifications to be included in this device are Intel Core m3 or Core i5 processor, with the storage of around 32GB to 128GB. But the storage may vary from one another as per variations. RAM is speculated to be of 8GB or 16GB. The product is expected to be launched in two separate versions.

According to reports of Neowin, the device may be unveiled with a number of other appealing and realistic features like backlit keyboard, dual USB type-C ports, fingerprint scanner, quad microphones, dual stereo speakers and a pressure sensitivity and haptic feedback enabled keypad. Although the stylus support is reported to be sold separately.

However, the report also elaborates that all the above-mentioned specs are far from confirmed as final, given that tech lovers still have to wait for a long time to get it in their hands. Although, there are not many speculations revealed yet about the pricing segment. But it is believed that Google is aiming for a starting price of $799 for Pixel 3 notebook.
