"Once Upon a Time" season 6 is resurrecting one of the fans' favorite characters. Robin Hood is coming back after being killed off last season.

There is one more reason to tune in to "Once Upon a Time" season 6. It has been confirmed by Entertainment Weekly that Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) will return in the new season of this hit ABC fairy tale series.

Fans have been asking if there is a chance that the archer's character will be revived even after he died in season 5 and the creators of the ABC TV series confirmed that he will be back for sure. Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, creators of "Once Upon a Time," are happy to announce that Robin Hood will appear in a few episodes.

Horowitz and Kitsis mentioned to the site that, "We're thrilled to have Sean back for this story arc and are excited for the audience to see what we have planned, which in the wake of his character's heartbreaking demise, is something we hope is unexpected and surprising."

On the other hand, devoted viewers should hold their horses because Robin coming back does not equate to coming back from the dead just like what happened to Hook (Colin O' Donoghue), TV Line reported. They are keeping the manner of Robin Hood's return under wraps for now but they also owe it to the fans to be clear that resurrection is not how the love of Regina's life.

"Dead is dead," Kitsis verified. "A lot of this year is about Regina dealing with loss and moving on, because I think Regina has the most unfair luck of anybody."

Horowitz also added that they wanted the grief and aftermath of Regina (Lana Parilla) losing Robin Hood to be portrayed in the most genuine way possible.

Watch the "Once Upon a Time" season 6 on ABC every Sunday to find out in what form Robin Hood will come back.
