The "Warcraft" movie may have gotten less than appealing reviews from film critics, but "Star Wars: Episode VIII" director, Rian Johnson, only has praises for it.

Johnson took to Twitter his sentiments about the "Warcraft" movie. In his post, the director said "Missed it while we were shooting but FINALLY got to see @ManMadeMoon's Warcraft. It's a glorious trio - human, emotional, and mëtal. See it!"

Duncan Jones, the director of the film based on a popular PC game noticed Johnson's tweet. Jones posted that he is glad Rian enjoyed the film and even joked and asked the "Star Wars: Episode VIII" director "How's your little indie doing?"

The "Warcraft" film received many backlash from critics even before the movie premiered in the US in June 2016. For fans of the game, this negative criticism may have caused the movie's less than stellar performance at the box office in the country. On the other hand, "Warcraft" did well overseas and even became one of the highest grossing films in China this year.

Die-hard fans of the game rated the movie positively, most saying that the critics had been too harsh. Nevertheless, the good reviews didn't save it from bombing at the US box office.

According to Game Rant, although Jones originally planned a movie trilogy, there is still no buzz as to the follow-up to "Warcraft." Back in June, there were talks that if China pulls in at least $200 million in ticket sales, there's a huge chance for a sequel.

At the moment, Jones is busy filming an indie film entitled "Mute" and not working on any continuation to the lives of the humans and orcs anytime soon. However, fans of both the game and the film remain hopeful that they will get to take an adventure to Azeroth in the near future.

For now, "Warcraft" addicts can enjoy the film on Blu-Ray/DVD, which was released early in September.
