Fans are now waiting for "Stranger Things" Season 2 after an intriguing and intense Season 1. Numerous reports reveal that the production is now casting for the upcoming new characters of the show. Currently, the producers are not revealing anything substantial about the seasons, but it was earlier revealed that Season 2 will have a total of nine episodes.

According to The Sun, Season 2 will be set one year from the events of Season 1. One of the biggest cliff hangers in the show was Barb's (Shannon Purser) fate. Although she might be in a sticky situation in Season 1, many fans think that she will still be back for Season 2.

However, series creator Matt Duffer insists that it is unlikely that Barb will return for Season 2. Despite that, he assured the fans that the show will get some justice for her.

Another most-loved character in the show is Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). In Season 1, Eleven sacrificed herself in order to beat the demogorgon and save her friends. It is still unclear if she will appear in the show again as she is stuck in the Upside Down. Brown said that she also has no idea about the fate of her character.

Meanwhile, production of Season 2 has already begun and casting calls have been made for the new characters joining the show. Some of the new characters include a girl named Max who is described as someone who is tough and confident. She will have an older brother named Billy. Another new character is named Roman who is said to be a gender and race-neutral character that is out for revenge.

Collider reported that producer Shawn Levy said in a radio interview that they are feeling a lot of pressure considering the success of Season 1. Although he did not reveal anything significant, he assured the fans that they are pushing the intensity level of the show to new heights.

As of writing, there is still no official statement as to when "Stranger Things" Season 2 will be releaseb. However it is expected to return sometime in 2017.
