Is Hugh Hefner still alive?

Earlier this week, rumors began swirling which claimed the Playboy Magazine founder had fallen ill and weighed just 90 pounds. A short time later, reports hit the web regarding Hefner's possible death.

“He looks like he is down to around 90 pounds and super sick. His people are really trying to keep this under wraps. You even have to sign a confidentiality agreement to go up to see him,” a source told Page Six on Thursday.

According to the report, Hefner hasn't been seen in public for months and in 2015, British glamour model Carla Howe claimed he was too sick to take part in his frequent parties.

“Hef is so frail, he goes everywhere with a group of nurses,” she said, adding that he “never leaves home” and goes to bed at 7 p.m. after watching movies.

In response to the report, however, Hefner's rep claimed he was doing just fine.

“Hugh Hefner is fine. It is no secret that over the past few years he has suffered with back pain that has made it a bit more challenging for him to get around, but at 90 years of age he is enjoying his life and still very involved in the day-to-day activities of editing the magazine,” the rep explained.

Meanwhile, Hefner's wife Crystal has remained quite active and recently traveled to Paris, where she shared a number of photos of herself on social media.
