The biggest stars in the fashion and music came out to fete at this year's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute exhibit, Punk: Chaos Couture, on Monday.

Enstars compared the looks of celebrities that attended the annual Met Gala both this year and last year.

Beyonce, who co-chaired this year's event, wore a black strapless Givenchy Couture gown with orange and yellow details to compliment her honey blonde locks. She arrived second-to-last as the crowd eagerly awaited her arrival in dress that had a train so long she had a handler to carry it and treat it with care. The corset was patent leather and her belt offered an ode to the exhibit's theme with its studded detail.

"It's all about the boots," Beyoncé told The Huffington Post.

The married mother-of-one admitted that her corset was so tight that she was going to "need scissors to cut the string."

Last year, the Halo singer arrived late with Vogue fomer editor Andre Leon Talley. He accompanied the Houston singer, who stunned the crowd with her dramatic black sheer lace Givenchy couture dress trimmed with black and feather ostrich feathers. The Bootylicious singer's dress had long sleeves but the dress was so sheer you could see her derriere'.

Actress Rooney Mara also wore a Givenchy Couture dress to celebrate the museum's exhibits both this year and last year.

Last year, Mara wore a lace one-sleeve asymmetrical gown with sheer details and accented her tiny waist with a simple leather belt. For this year's event she went the opposite route and wore a white lace gown with a plunging neckline by the same designer. She paired the ruffled-hem dress with a high split in the front with white sandals with a gold metallic details and wine-stained lips.  The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo actress chose to wear her hair slick back for the second year in a row.

Gywneth Paltrow was pretty in pink in a long-sleeved gown by Valentino this year. The Iron Man 3 star complimented the look with Wilfred Rosado earrings and a simple ponytail. The mother-of-three, who was topped People magazine's Most Beautiful People list this year, was more risqué last year. She offered side boob in a pale gray satin Prada dress with a short hemline. She wore a sleek bun and paired the dress with charcoal gray satin peep-toe heels.

Kristen Stewart, who was sans boyfriend Robert Pattinson, looked comfortable in a ruby red satin jumpsuit with a lace detail ths year. The On The Road actress was sexy in the look thanks her smokey eye shadow makeup in the same blood red shade, which accented her grey eyes She accessorized the look with a red and gold clutch and brown heels.

Last year, the Twiilight star wore and edgy look that landed her on some of the worst-dressed lists. She wore a color-blocked leather dress by her friend, fashion designer Nichola Ghesquiere when he was with Balenciaga at the time. The strapless number offered a snakeskin pattern print corset, red leather and black patent leather patches and the skirt portion was blue. She paired the colorful frock with black and white pointy-toe lace-up heels with tousled hair.
