NFL Super Bowl champion Reggie Bush and his girlfriend, Lilit Avagyna, welcomed a daughter on Monday, according to her rep.

Bush, 28 and Avagyan, 25, gave birth to their first child together.

"Lilit gave birth to a beautiful baby girl," the publicist told Us Weekly, also revealing that the infant weighed in at 8 pounds, 9 ounces.

Bush recently shared his excitement about becoming a first-time dad on his blog for the NFL team he plays for, the Detroit Lions, on  April 15.

"I'm very excited. Very excited about the baby," Bush wrote. "It's our first one and couldn't have come at a better time. It couldn't have come with a better person. Someone I really love and care about. It's great. It really worked out perfect."

Bush and his dancer girlfriend have been dating for almost a year and a half. He announced Avagyan's pregnancy on Florida's Paul and Young Ron Morning Show on Oct. 9. The NFL player previously dated Kim Kardashian.

"I have a little one on the way. We're pretty excited," he announced live on the radio, adding that having a baby to the couple is "the most special gift to a man and to a woman.

"I look forward to it, and to building a family," he said.

Avagyan is a ballet-trained dancer who was born and raised in Armenia, according to Miami Herald. She has appeared on Dancing with the Stars and is fluent in three languages: Armenian, English and Russian. She was born in her native country and came to the United States in 2001 to study dance.

Bush and Kardashian severed ties in 2010 after a three-year relationship. According to reports, the NFL couldn't handle her rising stardom at the time. Bush must really have a thing for curvy brunettes - his previous girlfriend, Old Navy model Melissa Molinaro, looked as if she could have been related to Kardashian.
