"Supergirl" Season 2 Episode 1 just premiered on its new home CW and already the move to the network has brought noticeable changes to the series.

"Supergirl" has gone through a major change transitioning from season 1 to season 2. The biggest one, which everyone knows, is the change in network from CBS to CW. This move has become slightly bothersome to many fans because of the fear that the show's charming qualities might be placed in the backburner with the change.

Luckily for "Supergirl," the move did not alter the traits that catapulted the series into a lovable DC superhero story, as mentioned by IGN. In fact, with the show's original qualities retained and CW's passion for going big, "Supergirl" season 2, episode 1 has delivered far more than expected.

The set did not have much of an alteration although the filming of the series was moved from LA to Vancouver. Cat Grant's office virtually looks the same and National City as well. The most distinct set modification was the headquarters of DEO. In season 1, the place looks darker, but that is because the command center was located in a cave.

For Season 2, the HQ has undergone a major overhaul as it has been moved in an office building with much more lighting and better features. For some reason, DEO looks even more high-tech now, so that is a plus for the series.

The biggest concern in terms of the storyline is Superman's inclusion. Many are fearing that the addition of Clark Kent in the plot may create a clash with the main superhero, Kara, in the sense that the Man of Steel may eclipse Supergirl's presence.

All these fears are put to rest after the "Supergirl" Season 2 premiere. Writers have brilliantly wrote in Superman's character in such a way that he won't overshadow Supergirl. This is not an easy feat given that Clark Kent is an extremely iconic DC superhero, if not the most iconic.

The great thing about this, too, is that although Superman is taking the supporting role, he is not reduced into merely a sidekick for the main girl, either. As Den of Geek pointed out, Tyler Hoechlin's Superman is homage to the classic Man of Steel. The team up of the two red-caped Kryptonians is extremely perfectly balanced.

For "Smallville" fans, they might be delighted to know that CADMUS has been added to the plot of "Supergirl." Therefore, viewers should expect to see more villains who are actually products of the infamous LuthorCorp lab.

Overall, "Supergirl" Season 2, episode 1 has delivered a solid debut that packs a lot of Kryptonian punch. It will be interesting to see how the relationship of the cousins will progress throughout the season and what problems both will face along the way both personally and as superheroes.
