The holiday shopping season is rapidly approaching, and several major retailers are already making plans to roll out Black Friday deals the earliest they ever have.

Though they aren't yet releasing their specific ads, both Sears and Kmart have already made huge announcements that are directly related to their plans for the holiday shopping season.

In a press release last month, Kmart jumped ahead of all their major competitors with a preemptive announcement about their deals that they will be offering throughout the holiday season, as well as other campaigns they are rolling out during the holidays in order to make shopping easier and better for their Shop Your Way members.

"Our members are shopping PROS-they're already in the holiday spirit, so we're giving them what they need to deck the halls," Kelly Cook, chief marketing officer of Kmart said in a statement. "This season, we're bringing back No Money Down Layaway in an epic way with a bonus incentive $10 off your purchase, and continuing our support of the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign. Plus, we launched the Fab 15 Toy List with must-have exclusives that are sure to excite kids of all ages this holiday season! Out shoppers are smart anf are starting early, so Kmart is here to make it extra easy to make the list, check it twice, and get back to celebrating."

The company's plans for their No Money Down Layaway, which is already something shoppers can take advantage of and use until November 26, members can put items on Layaway for $0 in-store or just a penny online, and those who make a $50 or more purchase toward layaway will get an instant $10 discount. In addition, layaway can be done with Layaway and Go on the mobile app, where shoppers can scan items with a smartphone and add them to a layaway order, and shoppers can then manage their payments online and pick up their gifts at the same store whenever they're ready.

Meanwhile, Sears has announced a new "holiday guarantee" for Members, where if any item purchased in-store at the upcoming Sears Days Lowest Prices of the Season Member Bonus Event go lower in the same store through Christmas Eve, Sears will automatically credit members the price difference back in points.

The guarantee begins on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 6-9 p.m, and will reflect the prices shown for the sale which officially starts on Oct. 20.  The guarantee includes if the prices will go lower on Black Friday, and members could receive the credit back to their account on January 16 of next year, with a limitation of up to$100 in points.

"Most people are starting their holiday shopping early so we wanted to do something extra special for those members to help them get a jump start on their gift lists," Joelle Maher, president and chief member officer said. "It's the perfect combination of beating the holiday rush and peace of mind knowing you're getting the best deals of the holiday season-guaranteed."

Neither company has yet revealed their plans in regard to Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales and store hours.
