Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bethenny Frankel said she made a mistake in her marriage to Jason Hoppy.

In a recent interview about her split, after the couple filed divorce papers in January, the reality star said she regrets having ever been married to Hoppy. Frankel told People the best thing to came out of their union was her daughter Bryn.

“In my marriage, I made a mistake. It is what it is,” she said. “I made the wrong choice. But I do have my daughter, who is so beautiful and amazing in every way.”

The former couple both asked the court for full custody of their 3-year-old daughter, which has caused their divorce settlement to not go so smoothly. Frankel also questioned Hoppy for wearing his wedding ring, although the two are no longer together.

“It’s an interesting choice,” she said. “And I don’t understand it, about the ring.”

The reality star reportedly said she had feelings in the beginning that their relationship may not last. Although ending her marriage was no simple task, Frankel said she knew she had to go through with it.

“Someone said to me ‘You’re lucky if you get 90 years on this planet. Why would you spend so many of them being miserable?’ That was a defining moment,” she said. “I had been trying to weigh how much unhappiness was still enough to live with every day.”
