After a story-booked run on America's biggest singing competition, Angie Miller has shockingly been eliminated from American Idol, which will send Kree Harrison and Candice Glover into the final showdown next week.

Tonight's performances included Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina who debuted her new single, Barefoot and Buckwild and Alicia Keys who performed Tears Always Win.  Judge Mariah Carey debuted the music video for her new single, Beautiful featuring Miguel

On Wednesday, Jimmy Lovine stated that he would be making some tough choices when it came to picking the competitors' first two rounds of songs.

The first round of AI on Wednesday kicked off with Kree Harrison belting out Pink's Perfect.  The respective performance garnered the approval of Keith Urban, who gave her very high marks, which was backed up by Nicki Minaj.  While Randy Jackson also loved it, Mariah Carey felt that Harrison was holding back for later performances.

Candice Glover took the stage next, and sang One by U2.  Minaj felt the performance was incredible and really went well with Glover's voice.  Randy agreed, saying that she nailed it while both Mariah and Urban expressed similar approval.

The final singer in the first round was Angie Miller, who performed Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word by Elton John.  Randy felt it was one of Miller's top performances of the show and Mariah felt the same way.  Urban said he was most impressed by the vocals while Nicki proclaimed that Angie should win American Idol.

Among the highlights last night, Candice Glover performed the classic song Somewhere and her performance was so well-received she earned the night's only standing ovation and was told she had one of the "greatest vocals in Idol history."

Glover's powerful rendition of Somewhere led Idol judge Keith Urban to yell, "Oh my goodness. What was that?! What happened?! How do you do that?!

"If you want to vote for Candice dial the number on your screen," he added. "If you don't want to vote for Candice, call your doctor, you probably don't have a pulse."

Randy Jackson, the show's original judge since season 1, said Glover "had one of the greatest vocals in Idol history."
