They've refuted multiple claims in the past that they were having a baby together, but now, a new report alleges that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are hoping to still have a child together-just not biologically.

According to Life and Style (via Hollywood Life), the two singers are discussing expanding their family, which includes them and Stefan'si three sons with Gavin Rossdale, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, and that they plan to do so by adopting a child of their own if possible.

"They've started talking about adoption," a source said. "They will absolutely pursue it."

The plans are reportedly a way the pair can also guarantee that they can add a little girl to their brood, since Stefani has only had sons before, and that if they want a girl that badly, they can expand their horizons as far as the age of the child.

"It might be a baby, or it might be a toddler. But no matter what, they want to have a little girl in their arms by the end of 2017," the source added.

The decision to adopt is also not one the couple is planning to make lightly, and having a child together overall is something that Stefani definitely wants, especially after watching her beau of nearly a year interact with her kids, and she knows he'd make a great father to one that they had together as well.

"Gwen loves that Blake is such a family man," the source said. "Seeing him with her kids just makes her fall in love with him even more!"

For now, the process is being taken slowly since the pair are allegedly also secretly planning a wedding, but it is something that is in the works.

Neither one has commented on the rumors that they were considering adoption, but these days, the two are rarely addressing rumors about their relationship, after several incorrect reports over the last year about them either breaking up or planning to marry, as well as the several false rumors that they were expecting a child together because Stefani was pregnant.
