Jodi Arias was found guilty for the first degree murder of her lover Travis Alexander, on Wednesday and in the next phase of her trial, the jury will decide her punishment.

Killing in a "cruel manner" is when a victim suffered physical and or mental pain, according to Arizona law.

If the jury decides that Arias is guilty for committing the crime in a "cruel manner," she will likely face the death penalty and become the fourth woman in Arizona's history to die by lethal injection. Arias and her defense team, family members and or friends will plead for leniency and ask that she does not die. If this happens, the jury will have to make a decision for the third time - if she should be sentenced to life in prison or death.

Court authorities announced Thursday that the hearing for Arias' penalty had been postponed, and it was later revealed the reason why: a man found in a Phoenix hotel was arrested and accused of threatening to bomb the courthouse where jurors were to deliberate. Laquint Cherry, 18, was taken into custody early Thursday and faces terrorism and a felony charge for making threats.

Arias' Twitter account is still active while she remains behind bars awaiting her faith. Her does not agree with the prosecutor Juan Martinez' claims against her and the 32-year-old admitted killer had this to say: "Hypocrisy bugs. Wish we could shine a spotlight on all of Juan's lies."

Outside the courthouse, where deliberations are set to take place, is described as a "circus" by news reports. The media waits for any comment by jurors or officials, hoping to get an inside scoop regarding the proceedings. The jury is made up of eight men and four women.
