It looks like NBC's Community will make it to a fifth season.

According to TV Line, the bubble comedy will have a 13 episode fifth season run.

The community college based sitcom has had a difficult fourth season. With problems rincluding the departure of the series creator Dan Harmon before the season started, the delay of the season start, and then the departure of Chevy Chase, it looked as if the show was headed for its end.

However, the May 9 finale played out a with the ability to leave the door open for another season, according to Slate. Jeff Winger (Joel Mchale) was the pivotal piece of the puzzle that brought the other characters together. With his impending graduation, the show could have called it quits, but the character plans to stay nearby, giving him a chance to keep his foot in the door.

Series actors took to Twitter on Friday night to inform their devoted fan base of renewal.

"5th season," tweeted McHale on Friday evening.

Not long after, Alison Brie, who plays Annie Edison, echoed the news to her followers with the tweet "It's official. Season 5 ladies and gentlemen."
