Tinsley Mortimer is believed to have joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City for the series' upcoming ninth season.

Although Bravo TV has stayed mum on plans for the series' renewal, Ramona Singer and LuAnn de Lesseps recently confirmed the start of production on social media and now, a report claims Mortimer will be joining the ladies as they begin filming the early scenes of the season.

"Welcome to RHONY, Tinsley Mortimer!" Radar Online revealed to readers on Tuesday. "Mortimer, 41, is the newest addition to The Real Housewives of New York."

According to the report, the socialite starred on her own reality show years ago, but after just eight episodes, the series, High Society, was canceled by The CW. Mortimer also made headlines in April of this yeawr when she was arrested for trespassing at the home of her boyfriend, Nico Fanjul, in Palm Beach, Fla. At the time, Radar Online reported that the drama-plagued couple had a history of physical abuse.

As for who else will be included in The Real Housewives of New York City for season nine, it's hard to say at this point. However, Jules Wainstein announced weeks ago that she would not be coming back to the series.

"With everything going on in my personal life, I want to focus on my family, my children, and make sure they are happy and healthy. My children are young and with everything going on, the last thing I want is my divorce to be public and I have to protect them," Wainstein explained to Bravo TV at the time.
