'Star Wars 8' have been receiving a lot of questions, teasers and or just simple rumors from their fans who cannot wait for this movie to be released. With only 12 months more to wait, every character and the movie's plot have been already picked out as topics of discussion and unending questions targeted to the popular actors that portray them. It is but time for Daisy Ridley to finally give out "a hint" of what is at stake on Rey's identity and why the sudden introduction of her lineage in "The Force Awakens".

As Digital Spy recently reported, it is truly a "relief" when Daisy Ridley finally teased that her character will know who her parents were in the upcoming sequel to Star Wars. Fans were left dumbfounded when Rey's lineage came in as a surprising trivia in "The Force Awakens", as hints of her early life were dropped. Whoever is the "father" she was waiting for in planet Jakku is a mystery that will make a major impact to the galaxy and the rest of the trilogy.

There were available candidates for Rey's parents that Daisy Ridley "slightly" discussed in her recent interview. Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of them which Ridley teased by saying "We will see in a year," and she added, "Just sit tight on that question" as reported by Slash Film. Another viable candidate is Luke Skywalker because of Rey's "force sensitivity" but it was already ruled out and the relation was just considered to be of "passing of the torch" as Rey is the 'Luke Skywalker' of her generation.

Not only was Rey's father being haunted by spoilers and teaser makers, but her probable mother as well, with Jyn Erso in the picture. In "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", Daisy Ridley did her mathematical theory and concluded that "I mean, I think historically it wouldn't work, because she is... Darth Vader is there... so she would ultimately be my great-grandma; no, she would be my grandma," she mused. "I mean, it could happen, especially in a galaxy far, far away."

For one, parental lineage is a crucial issue to a character on Star Wars, so definitely after all the mystery of Rey's parents,  Lucasfilm will not waste another episode without it. Thus fans may as well be patient as the wait is all worth it.
