The report said that the show's star who is coming back was nominated for a Daytime Emmy. This piece of information sparked a number of speculations as to which character will be returning.

However, many viewers are hoping that it will be Will Horton, who will rise from the dead. Will was originally played by Chandler Massey, who is not only an Emmy nominee, but a winner as well. The character was later portrayed by Guy Wilson.

Some viewers, on the other hand, are not convinced that Massey is the returning cast member since he is not a nominee but a winner. Other fans pointed out that to become a winner, one must be a nominee as well. In addition, Massey's manager has been hinting that the actor is willing to reprise his role on "Days of Our Lives."
