The new Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was recently launched and many have observed that it looks like Samsung Galaxy Note 7. With that many believed that the new phone might just be the replacement Samsung Galaxy Note 7 users are looking for.

GameNGuide reported that Global VP of Xiaomi, Hugo Barra posted in his Twitter account the full specs of the new Xiaomi Mi Note 2. As of writing, the phone is only available in China and there is still no news as to when will it be distributed globally.

For those who are overseas and want their hands on the new phone, orders can be made through Chinese importers like GearBest. The company has already announced that they will have the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 in stock after Nov. 1.

GSM Arena featured the full specs for the new phone. It was said that the Mi Note 2 comes with a stylish curved design on the front and back which is very similar to Galaxy Note 7. It also has a 5.7-inch OLED, panel that is curved on both sides.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 821 SoC with a max clock speed of 2.35GHz. It works with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It is available in 4GB, 64GB and 128GB UFS 2.0 storage.

As for the camera, the Mi Note 2 may not have the updated dual camera set-up but it has a 22.56MP Sony IMX318 Exmor sensor with a f/2.0 lens. It is said to have an EIS digital stabilization to capture videos with 4K resolution. The camera also has a dedicated 3-axis gyroscope and hybrid PDAF and contrast autofocus system which makes it easier to capture in low light locations.

The front cam is equipped with an 8MP shooter and a Sony IMX268 sensor. The phone promises improved selfies by adding a few optimizations and Beauty 3.0.

As stated above, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come in different varieties with the starting price of $415 for the local market. It was speculated that it will also release a global version for $520.
