In "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" Episode 18, Hae Soo (IU) mourned the death of Chae Ryung (Jin Ki Joo) after she was ordered to be killed by the King. Hae Soo then asked the 13th Prince Baek Ah (Nam Joo Hyuk) to send a message to the 14th Prince Wang Jung (Ji Soo).

According to Yibada, a happy ending seems to be questionable between King Gwangjong (Lee Joon Gi) and Hae Soo. Spoilers for in "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" Episode 19 and 20 reveal that Eighth Prince Wang Wook (Kang Ha Neul) will confess to King Gwangjong that he and Hae Soo were supposed to get married. As for the reason behind this confession, it was speculated that this is Wang Wook's plan to chase Hae Soo out of the palace as his sister Queen Daemok (Kang Han Na) wants it to happen.

However, it was revealed that things won't work as planned and it was speculated that The King will frame him for treason for him to get killed. In a preview for the next episodes, Wang Wook can be seen begging for mercy to Wang So. Will he die before the series finale?

Meanwhile, iTech Post reported that King Gwangjong will also be angry with Hae Soo. In the video, The King will ask Hae Soo if what Wang Wook said was true and she admits hit.

Feeling hurt with the revelation, the King decides to let Hae Soo leave the palace. With that, there were also speculations that a marriage between Hae Soo and Wang Jung (Ji Soo) might happen in Episode 20 which is the series finale.

Elsewhere, Princess Yeonhawa (Kang Han-Na) is now planning her next move. It was already known that she wants the throne for her son.

The palace also received a shocking message in the form a dead falcon. This may signify that a revolt is rising against the King.
