On September 25, Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez passed away after the boat he's riding crashed.

With several reports and investigations made, everything was deemed to be an honest accident - up until now.

ESPN recently reported how Fernandez died with two of his other friends when they crashed into a jetty off the coast of Miami Beach.

Alcohol was said to not have been a factor before but later on, people at the scene of the incident reported that the bodies of both of Fernandez's friends reeked of alcohol. The smell was highly noticeable and really pungent.

Then, the Miami-Dade state attorney also sent out a warrant mentioning how the boat was being driven in a completely reckless manner and that the driver was highly under the influence of alcohol. However, they did not mention who the driver was.

The chances are that even if Fernandez himself was not drunk, his two friends most likely were and there is a high chance of one of them have operating the boat.

More proof was given by the Independent Journal Review when they mentioned how the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conversation (FWC) reported finding a receipt of alcohol purchase in the pockets of one of the friends after the crash.

What is interesting is that the date stamped on the receipt was the same exact date as the crash.

It's not surprising that a group of friends went out on a boat trip and had some fun. No one could have blamed them for it. Yet Fernandez and his friends' case was a sad case of unfortunate events.
