Bill Murray is the recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor this year, and here's how to watch him accept the honor on PBS tonight.

PBS will air the Bill Murray: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize special from 9-10:30 p.m. ET/PT on PBS. "I'm honored by this award and by its timing. I believe Mark Twain has rolled over in his grave so much for so long, that this news won't disturb his peace," Murray said in a statement.

Several of Murray's closest friends speak at the event, which was recorded on Oct. 23, including Dan Aykroyd, Aziz Ansari, Roy Blount, Jr., Bill Hader, Jimmy Kimmel, David Letterman, Brian Doyle Murray, Paul Shaffer and Sigourney Weaver.

Miley Cyrus also performs at the event, and has already made headlines for her performance. The outrageous singer sang Frank Sinatra's "My Way" and replaced some words with notable Murray-related subjects, but apparently got "too stoned" to remember the words. "I f---ed it up," the singer admitted.

This special "pays tribute to the humor and accomplishments of the comedy icon," including his stint on Saturday Night Live and his performances in such movies as Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, Caddyshack, Rushmore and Lost in Translation.

If you cannot watch the Bill Murray special live tonight on PBS, it will likely be uploaded to PBS.org. The past four ceremonies are currently available to watch, including Eddie Murphy's in 2015, Jay Leno's in 2014, Carol Burnett's in 2013 and Ellen DeGeneres' in 2012.
