Mariah Carey and James Packer has been an item for a year now, and it seems to be serious at that time when James Packer offered the Heartbreaker singer a $10 million diamond engagement ring. That is one big rock on Mariah Carey's hand, but it may be insignificant now as their relationship had turned from smooth to rocky.

The 48-year-old billionaire may be smittened by Carey's lovely voice and sexy bod; however, rumor has it that her excessive spending has caused the rift between the two thus the statement is true that "billionaires do have their limits too."

Although their sources denied the allegations from the singer-songwriter's spending habits, they have also denied a rumor that James Packer "had done something really bad with her assistant" during that fateful European trip. One thing is sure of though on their statements that Carey and Packer are "trying to work it out" and that they are "not sure" if they will stay together, but rest assured that they will issue an official statement regarding their status.

But for those behind the Songbird's upcoming reality tv show, their hearts are already bleeding, and their minds trying to piece out the storyline as to how they will release "Mariah's World" in December with a "possible irrelevant relationship" haunting its plot. In a recent report by Hollywood Life, Mariah Carey's reality tv show has already been a topic of arguments between her and James Packer, with the latter having been reported to have hated the show and dislikes the idea of exposing their lives to the public. Moreover, James Packer may have some issues involving Carey and one of her Las Vegas dancers having an alleged ''rendezvous', although there hasn't been any confirmation whatsoever about this.

There is still one good output due to Carey-Packer split and that is for her Halloween party, as the billionaire was nowhere in sight but her ex-husband Nick Cannon was there with their twins Monroe and Moroccan. A photo was seen as she was carrying Moroccan alongside Nick Cannon carrying Monroe. Although there are no signs of the estranged couple to reunite, fans are just as hopeful to see Mariah Carey happy and settled as always.
