Shoppers eager to plan out their Black Friday shopping are hoping to start seeing the ads for their favorite retailers online soon, and with the shopping holiday and Thanksgiving both virtually around the corner with just a few weeks between now and then, they should expect to start seeing the ads soon.

As the stores have opened their doors earlier and earlier over the years, ad leaks have gotten earlier too, with some leaking as early as mid-October, like Harbor Freight Tools, Half-Price Books, Rite-Aid and Dollar General. However, bigger stores, and the ones that tend to see some of the biggest lines on Black Friday/Thanksgiving, try to keep their ads more secretive as long as possible, holding out until at least a few weeks prior to their sales.

But savvy shoppers who want to make sure they're getting the best deals on everything they plan to purchase over the holiday weekend are hoping to start seeing ads as soon as possible, to plan out their shopping strategy as best as they possibly can. And while nothing is set in stone and ads could leak earlier or even later than expected, here are out predictions for when major ads will leak, and why we think it's the date to expect:

Best Buy: November 9

Last year's ad leaked on the 9th as well, two days before the year prior's date of Nov. 11. Things could follow in that pattern and see a leak as early as the 7th, but the ad releasing on the same date again seems to be more likely.

Big Lots: November 11

The ad leaked on the 12th the last two years, so if it leaks earlier, it's more likely to only be one day prior  to the usual

JCPenney: November 8

Similarly to Big Lots, if the ad leaks earlier than the last two, it would be by a day most likely.

Kmart: November 7

Kmart actually leaked later than expected last year, with their ad not being released until the 13th. This year likely won't repeat, especially if other retailers are all releasing within the first 10 days of November.

Kohl's: November 6

Kohl's usually falls somewhere between one of the earlier leaked ads and the middle dates, so the 6th seems like a good date to start looking for it.

Macy's: November 1

Though it leaked in Mid-November two years ago, it was unveiled earlier than everyone else last year, leaking on the Oct. 30. Expect it to be after Halloween this year, but probably not too long after.

Old Navy: November 15

Old Navy has a smaller ad since their sale usually just encompasses a huge percentage off most items in store, so expect it to leak a little closer to Black Friday itself. Nine days before Thanksgiving would be a good place.

Target November 8

Target is never the first retailer to leak their ad, so they'll fall more closely toward the Nov. 10 area. They only guarantee is that they'll likely leak before Walmart, something that has happened most years.

Toys R Us November 11

Toys R Us usually leaks after their biggest competitors-Walmart, Target and Kmart-have all unveiled their ads.

Sears November 7

Since they're partnered with Kmart, it would make sense that their ads would leak on the same day

Walmart November 10

Look for them to leak a day or two after Target
