Whitney Houston was shepherded home on February 18 in her childhood church, where family, friends and fellow celebrities gave her an emotional and fond farewell. "You wait for a voice like that for a lifetime,” said Clive Davis, Houston’s producer and mentor. "You wait for a face like that, a smile like that, a presence like that, for a lifetime. And when one person embodies it all, it takes your breath away."

Houston was laid to rest last Sunday at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey. She was buried next to her father, John Russell Houston, who died in 2003. Houston died on February 11 in Beverly Hills, California, at the age of 48. The cause of death has yet to be determined.
