It might not be winter yet, but it sure is coming quick. Temps are dropping, wind is picking up and I don't know about you, but my skin is starting to get drier than the Sahara desert. In other words: not cute.

While switching up moisturizers and cleansers help keep the dry, flaky spots at bay, face masks are the surefire way to keep your face from cracking. Here are some of my favorites:

Eve Lom Moisture Mask, $54.99 Buy Now on Amazon

Yes, it's pricy, but the size of the tub you get makes it absolutely worth it. While the directions state leaving the gel-like mask on for around 15 minutes then wiping off excess, I like to use it as an overnight mask—it sinks in like a dream, and you'll wake up with softer, more supple skin.

Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask, $22 Buy Now on Amazon

This. Stuff. Is. Magic. It goes on thick and satisfyingly goopy, and leaves my skin looking and feeling softer than baby bum afterward. Don't be afraid to be a little generous with application and really slather the stuff on.

H20 Plus Oasis Moisture Lock Mask, $42 Buy Now on Ulta

One of my favorite winter pre-shower rituals is lathering this mask on my face and neck, letting the shower steam work its magic, and toweling off the excess once I get out. While it's a bit too rich to leave on overnight for my personal skin type, it's definitely a must for a luxurious nighttime skin treat.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel,  $14.56 Buy Now on Amazon

If you're an oily-skinned gal like me, the idea of lathering a super-heavy lotion does not sound like your cup of tea. Instead, a gel like this Neutrogena one will help moisturize your dry patches while not leaving your T-zone greasy.
