Producers of the The X-Factor are considering placing two women to sit alongside Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato at the judges' table next season.

A source close to the situation said Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland and Latina singer Paulina Rubio are currently in negotiations with FOX, and the network has had discussions with Jennifer Love-Hewitt and Hillary Duff.

"The producers and FOX have decided on their dream panel and they're in the very final stages of negotiations as the auditions start in just a few weeks," a source told Radar Online.  "A female centric panel is something new to the show, but both the producers and Simon really think it's the right way to go."

The insider said the network is seriously considering adding more diversity to the singing competition. The stars, if signed, will replace Britney Spears and L.A. Reid. According to another source, Cowell would rather have judges have "real chemistry" like he has with Lovato.

"All the women really get along well and Demi continues to have great chemistry and banter with Simon," the source added.

Enstars previously reported that Rowland, who also appeared in UK's version of The X Factor in 2011, is said to be "most definitely in the mix" for the third season of FOX's hit singing competition.

FOX announced on March 30 that Lovato would return to the judges' table for The X Factor and the singer shared her excitement in the following statement.

"I am so excited to return as a judge and mentor on The X Factor. Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel. I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better!"

Khloe Kardashian will not be returning as the show's co-host but Mario Lopez will. A spokesperson shared the update to E! News: "Khloé Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor. We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

Lopez shared his excitement about his return, saying, "I'm looking forward to returning to The X Factor team. We're coming back stronger and better than ever and I'm excited to check out all the new talent."

Cowell said he is "thrilled" to have Lopez back.
