Features added in Xbox Holiday update: Main focus on social connectivity

Most awaited Xbox One's Holiday Update is live now. This update is also for Xbox application on Android, iOS, and Windows 10 devices. Introducing features like Looking for Group (LFG), Clubs, Group Messaging and Achievement Rarity and more. This time Microsoft concentrated on connecting people.

"With this holiday update, Xbox Live becomes even more social as we unite gamers across devices, giving you access to more people to play with that share your interests and more choice in how you play," as stated in Xbox news.

Xbox One becomes more social than ever with this new update. Gamers can connect with other players around the globe to play who share the same interest with them. They can also choose how to play and make rules of the game themselves.

Clubs are managed groups that are created by gamers. It helps user meet other people sharing the same interest. Anyone can join or create Club. There are options available for creating Clubs like Private Clubs, Public Clubs, and Hidden.

There are various features in Club like Party set up, share content, gameplay and easy voice and text chat communication. It is also available on your smartphone so that user can stay connected anytime and manage clubs.

LFG (Looking for Group) feature allows players to find other players who are searching someone to play the same game online. The gamer can set their rules, game mode, language, a number of players required. The user can use LFG to complete their daily quests, achievement hunts etc.

Microsoft also launched a feature called "Achievement rarity" due to lots of requests on Xbox Feedback. It helps you discover unique achievements among players of given name. "A dramatic new sound will now play for rare Xbox achievements", according to The Verge.

The user can participate in group messages and keep in touch with friends and co-players in a single conversation. Microsoft added a new predictive dictionary. The user can access it with the right thumbstick on the controller.

This new update also improved Gamerscore Leaderboard. It will reset at the beginning of every month, so players get a fair chance to compete against each other with the same score. Emojis are included in virtual keyboard of Xbox One.
