When it returns in the fall, HBO's Prohibition-era drama, Boardwalk Empire, will reportedly be seeing the addition of a new character by way of a Sicilian gangster.

According to Spoiler TV, the Sicilian will be making his way up north from Florida.

The following is a snippet from the casting description:

"For Boardwalk Empire episode 4.06, a recurring role is being cast: a Sicilian gangster from Florida."

Since the casting department is still in the process of searching for the right fit, no actor is currently attached at this time.  However, the site stated that it will be a recurring role.

Actors that have already been cast for the upcoming season include Ron Livingston, Patricia Arquette, and Jeffrey Wright.

Showrunner Terence Winter also gave the confirmation that Kelly MacDonald (Margaret Thompson) and Gretchen Mol (Gillian Darmody) will be returning.

It was recently announced on May 10 that the third season of the series will be available in Blu-ray in August.  Therefore, its loyalists should have ample time to catch up on what they've missed prior to Season 4.

Boardwalk Empire is set to premiere its fourth season at some point in the fall of 2013.  Keep checking back for more of the latest details.
