Former Disney star Selena Gomez paid a compliment to Miley Cyrus after they both topped this year’s Maxim Hot 100 List saying that her fellow former Disney star "deserved" the top spot.

Selena Gomez is no.2 on the men’s magazine annual list while Miley Cyrus landed no.1.

When the former Wizards Of Waverly Place star was asked her thoughts on the former Hanna Montana star beating her on the list, the actress-singer simply said, “She’s beautiful.”

The 20-year-old made the comment during a radio interview with Boston’s Kiss FM station. She was busy promoting her latest single, Come & Get It.

The two singers who were both lead stars in popular teen shows on the Disney Channel have built more grown up images for themselves.

Gomez apparently shocked her fans when she decided to star in Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers, while Cyrus posed topless for three magazine covers out on newsstands this month- Maxim’s July 2013 issue featuring the Hot 100 list and June 2013 issues of Elle UK and V magazines
