Are Ellen Degeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, headed for divorce?

In recent months the couple has appeared to be as happy as ever, but after eight years of marriage, they continue to be targeted with rumors of a possibly impending split and in the latest report, it is noted that the couple is arguing more than ever due to Degeneres' allegedly controlling behavior.

“They’ve had heated debates about Ellen’s controlling behavior and her anger issues,” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine on Wednesday. “They fight over Ellen’s drinking, her lavish spending — mostly on real estate — plus her busy work schedule and how she doesn’t want Portia to work.”

According to the magazine's report, Degeneres and her wife are trying desperately to maintain a united front, but sadly, alleged the source, a divorce is “imminent” and it’s not going to be easy for the couple to part ways due to Degeneres' reported $345 million net worth.

“A good chunk of Ellen’s fortune is at stake,” the insider said. “This could be one of Hollywood’s most expensive, ugliest and dirtiest divorces ever.”

Although Degeneres and her alleged divorce news has been plastered on the cover of In Touch Weekly magazine's latest issue, Gossip Cop has since confirmed that the bombshell separation is not true.

“I know that I’m not going anywhere. She’s not going anywhere,” Degeres said last month.
