Just a short time away from airing its sixth season, HBO's True Blood recently rolled out a brand new promo poster, and judging by its description, it appears that the future installment is going to get really bloody.

The respective poster features a male vampire who looks to be in a considerable amount of pain, with a caption that reads, "No one lives forever."

Although the large picture isn't Bill (Stephen Moyer) or Eric (Alexander Skarsgard, the gory layout clearly emphasizes this season's theme, which is humans versus vampires.

E! Online had previously reported that a significant death would be occurring in the upcoming season.

"It might happen a lot sooner than we originally thought. It's in the second half of the season, but before the finale."

Actor Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) recently told the site that they'll be more than one character killed off during the upcoming season.

"There are more deaths. Some favorite characters may not last," he said.

However, Kwanten also went on to reveal that TB loyalists can expect the program to be going back to its supernatural roots.

"The show was getting back to the supernatural elements and madness that it's famous for," he added.

Interestingly enough, Fan Share had reported that Skarsgard's character may just be one of the unlucky ones, as they speculate that episode 607's title, The Funeral, could be insinuating Eric's exit.

True Blood will only be airing 10 episodes this season as opposed to its usual 12. It's set to make its return on June 16 on the HBO network.
