Whether it was a really clever stunt done by the developers of Pokemon GO or whether it was an actual mistake, people may now know exactly when the release date of "Pokeman Go Version 2" will be.

Indeed, the game that took away the hearts of millions with just 150 pokemon is now planning to add a hundred more! The reason how the world found out was quite hilarious. 

If one backtracks a bit, earlier November it was already confirmed that a hundred pokemon were added in the Pokemon database of Pokemon Go. These pokemon were from Generation 2 which is basically still considred one of the original and most beloved generations.

That being said, it is very certain that "version 2" most likely correlates to Generation 2. 

So how did it get leaked? Through Starbucks. 

According to BGR a person deeming themselves to be the employee of the infamous Starbucks released an image which contained a mass international memo message sent to Starbucks generally. These Memos are usually sent out as reminders for future plans in the upcoming month. 

The Memo consisted of Groupon promotions, Facebook, and Verizon promotions. But the last one was about "Pokeman". It mentioned how 12/7 or the 7th of December will be the launch for Pokemon Version 2. 

Then it proceeded to explain about how Starbucks will announce a Pokemon Frappuccino. 

According to Geeky Gadgets, it is not confirmed yet whether or not this is real. This is on a sub reddit by a self proclaimed employee. But the image itself seems convincing.

It is also possible that this is in fact the real release date but due to the leak Niantic may postpone the entire thing in a more secretive way. Either way it is confirmed that new Gen 2 Pokemon have been added into the Pokemon Go game but they aren't catchable yet. This only means that they are right around the corner.

However this would not be confirmed until 7th December. One can only wait.
