Months from now, the much-awaited series will be shown worldwide with unexpected scenes and plot from the writer and the producers. Game of Thrones Season 7 crews has been starting to work filming in Spain for several weeks from now.

Several fans from the country had enjoyed scenes of their favorite GoT casts when they filmed in Seville and Almodóvar del Rio Castle in Córdoba. According to the reports, the filming took place in a Muslim Castle which dates back to the 8th century. The castle will be used as Highgarden and a confrontation between the Lannister soldiers and the Tyrells.

The Córdoba resident has been chosen as the body double for Diana Rigg's character, Olenna Tyrell. Three extras have also been selected to wear costumes from the Stark family.

The Almodóvar del Rio Castle's different parts will be used for various locations. And one of the scenes which were filmed in the one of the castle's part was the moment when aLannister flag fly over the castle

Lannister's Plot against Tyrells

Rumors are starting to circulate that Lannister would take over Highgarden in the Season 7. There were some photos from the ongoing production of the Game of Thrones that shows a huge move by the Lannisters.

The scene features Jamie Lannister and Bronn taking over the Highgarden (the seat of the House Tyrell) as their own. Speculations are the Tyrell stronghold will be the site of the huge battle which will require 100 extras. The new set of photos revealed that the Lannisters would reign supreme in that battle and take over the Highgarden.

Another theory is that the castle will be used for portraying Castlery Rock where actor Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm) appeared to lead his Unsullied army in an assault on Casterly Rock.

The Watchers on the Wall also reported that they would need 250 extras for the major raid of the castle by the Lannister family.

Game of Thrones Season 7 is set to premiere in mid-2017.
