Hunter Tylo, one the stars of The Bold and The Beautiful, is leaving the CBS soap opera and she may not be the only one.

Tylo posted a note on her message board on Thursday entitled 'A Farewell to B&B Mother/Daughter Team'. She wrote that contract negotiations between her and the soap opera ended four weeks ago. The actress, who stars on the show as Dr. Taylor Hayes Forrester, seemed to confirm that she was on her way out.

"I am moving forward and opening back up to the thousands of acting roles available, writing and pursuing my skin care line," she wrote.

Tylo said she would sorely miss the fans and her friends at B&B, but that she would continue to keep everyone invested. Tylo also addressed the persistent rumors that Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who portrays her daughter Steffy, was also set to leave the show.

In a tweet, she declared that both were leaving and elaborated on the matter in her post.

"I have been very successful outside of B&B and I have no doubt she will be too. And more so, because she is free and single to travel all over the world," she wrote.

Soap Opera Digest clarified on Wednesday that Woods would be leaving but only for the short term.  A spokesperson said that the Emmy nominated actress was simply taking a break as she has done in the past.

"She remains as the character of Steffy Forrester and is continuing to tape, currently with episodes airing through July of 2013 and then beyond," the spokesperson said.

The impending exit of Tylo appears to be more permanent. The actress replied to a fan on Twitter that her last airdate was July 3, her birthday.  Tylo first joined the show in 1990 and quickly became a central character in the long standing Brooke/Ridge/Taylor love triangle. She previously left the show in 2002 but returned as a regular in 2005.

In January, the actress granted an interview to Michael Fairman. It appeared that the character of Taylor was poised to become the matriarch of the drama after Susan Flannery vacated her role of Stephanie Forrester.  Tylo did not speak as though she were getting ready to leave the show.

"I think Taylor is feeling this is her moment to be the mama bear and the matriarch, and to step up to the plate," she said.

Representatives for B&B have not yet commented on the matter.
