Caitlyn Jenner has revealed the release date for her memoir, in which she chronicles her experience coming out as a transgender woman.

Jenner's book, The Secrets of My Life, is set to go on sale April 25, 2017, according to the woman herself:

The book is co-written by Buzz Bissinger, who wrote Jenner's groundbreaking Vanity Fair cover story in July 2015, in which the reality star appeared for the first time to the world as a woman.

Bissinger has been following Jenner as she goes about her new life as a woman, and as he described himself as a "cross-dresser with a big-time fetish for women's leather" in The New York Times, he found himself identifying with some of her feelings.

"I've also been open about cross-dressing and certain aspects of gender fluidity, and that created a bond," Bissinger explained to the Times.

Jenner reportedly came to Bissinger after the Vanity Fair article was released to have him collaborate with her on the memoir.

"I made it clear to her before I agreed that everything has to be on the table, nothing can be left out, and I'm going to be interviewing dozens of other people," Bissinger said. "It's her book, but it's going to be reported out to keep her honest. She's been incredibly open, and I think it has the potential to be a really important book."

Jenner released her own statement (through the book's publisher, Grand Central Publishing), revealing why she is happy to be releasing the memoir.

"Things have been moving so quickly that it will be nice to slow things down a bit and take the proper time to reflect on this journey," she said.

The book is expected to recount stories from Jenner's past, including his experience as a decathlete in the Olympics and her marriage to Kris Jenner (Kardashian) and her tumultuous recent years.
