It appears things may genuinely be on the rocks and pretty much over between Sister Wives star Kody Brown and his first wife, Meri.

On the season premiere episode of the show on Sunday Night, the pair, who were legally married for over 20 years before divorcing so he could legally marry fourth wife Robyn instead, the pair seemed to admit in front of the cameras that their marriage had reached something like an irreparable state, after not only the divorce, but Meri's Catfishing scandal last year.

"You asked me to not be around you. You invited me away. You told me to go away," he said during the episode. "...I'm not trying to be mean about this, but you said 'Get out of my life.' You said 'Get out of my life' to me."

"You said, 'I'm not willing to cross a burning bridge for you anymore," Meri replied.

The pair also appeared to be suffering from issues with communication, with Kody insisting they discuss things with their therapist, Nancy, and not alone together, which frustrated Meri.

"We will have to discuss that with Nancy," he said.

"You won't tell me right now what you want?!" Meri responded.

"Well Meri, there's only one way to discuss this and that's with Nancy because you're already seeming antagonistic," Kody replied.

"I'm not antagonistic, I just want to know. I'm tired of being in limbo," she said.

Kody also eventually admitted during an interview with crew members on the show that he was beginning to feel hopeless about the state of the marriage, though he wouldn't elaborate on their problems.

"I'm working very hard not to be hopeless," he said when asked by a director about the situation.

On social media, the two also spoke out about their issues and problems, with Kody maintaining some thing were better left in private, and Meri saying that she felt the conversation was the best thing for her and Kody to have in general.
