Beyoncé Pregnant Again? Uncle Larry Talks Jay-Z Marriage, Blue Ivy & Pregnancy
Beyoncé's uncle Larry has given an interview about the singer's marriage to Jay-Z
Beyoncé's has fueled rumors in the past few weeks that she is pregnant with her second child and her uncle, Larry Beyince, is just one of the many who is out of the loop.
In an an interview with Celebuzz, that was published on Thursday about his superstar niece, he said he has no idea if she were pregnant again and that he would not know if she were. Beyince, the brother of Tina Knowles, said that the Diva singer was not very forthcoming when she was pregnant in 2011 with daughter Blue Ivy.
"Even then [when she was pregnant with Blue Ivy] she tried to keep everything secret like it's a really big deal. She didn't want everyone to know," he told the site.
Larry shared that eventually Blue Ivy would be getting another sibling. He said that Beyoncé did confide that she wanted more kids, however, he did not feel that the timing was right for another baby in her household with Jay-Z.
"I think now would be too soon. She just had one and she needs time to really raise that baby," he said.
Larry also explained the meaning of Blue Ivy's name. Ivy represented the Roman numeral number four and Beyonce's birthday is Sept. 4, she got married on April 4 and her mother's birthday is Jan. 4. He also shared that there was a time he did not believe that his niece and Jay-Z would settle down and become family. He admitted that Beyoncé was not even fond of the rapper at first.
"I would see him with her and pictures of them, I heard rumors they were together and she told me 'no.' You know how women get that look like 'eww.," he said.
Beyoncé's uncle said that she only married because she did want to be lonely. He said she had reached a status where it became important to have someone of equal standing in her life. He reasoned that she was wary of someone only being interested in her for money, and that the Knowles family was just happy that Jay-Z made as much money as Beyoncé.
"I don't think the family cared. Just that whatever he's doing he's making money [and] made it okay," he said.
Beyince said that the union of Beyoncé and Jay-Z also served another purpose: it removed the influence that Matthew Knowles had over his daughter's life. Beyince was glad that his former brother-in-law was fired from his managerial duties since he did not do much for her career.
"One reason I was glad she got married is because she was no longer under her dad's control. He is a control freak," he said.
