Criminal Minds Season 12 will highly likely continue for Season 13. According to TV By the Numbers, the current season of the Jeff Davis-created series is doing well even without series regulars Thomas Gibson (who plays Aaron Hotchner) and Shemar Moore (who plays Derek Morgan).

As a matter of fact, the show's household ratings and viewership performance continuously did well. Because of that, CBS Television Network will most probably renew the show.

Aside from that, cast member Bodhi Elfman officially returns in the next episode of Criminal Minds Season 12. International Business Times reported that the 47-year old American actor will reprise his role as Peter "Mr. Scratch" Lewis.

Peter happens to be a serial killer by proxy, computer hacker and a stalker. He first debuted in season 10 and escaped with other serial killers in season 11. Therefore remaining to be at large this current season.

As for the official plot synopsis of episode 7, Spoilers Guide notes, "The BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) team opens an investigation when a man who fully believes he's Dr. Tara Lewis' (Aisha Tyler) brother arrives in town, knowing everything about her and her family, and she is unable to make contact with her real sibling."
