Season 2 of The Great American Baking Show is set to premiere tonight on ABC - and here's how to watch it live online if you cannot watch it on television.

The Great American Baking Show (known as The Great Holiday Baking Show when season 1 aired in 2015), is back just in time for the holiday season. Adapted from the ever-popular Great British Bake Off, this series also features renowned food writer Mary Berry as a judge, alongside pastry chef Johnny Iuzzini. Nia Vardalos and husband Ian Gomez are the hosts.

This season on The Great American Baking Show, eight contestants battle it out in the hope of avoiding elimination. Thursday night is a special two-hour episode centering on some holiday classics: cake and cookies.

"Hour one is cake. For their very first Signature Bake, the bakers are tasked with making bundt cakes inspired by winter flavors. Next up, a Technical Challenge of Mary Berry's recipe for apple almond cake. And lastly, The Showstopper Bake has these bakers constructing fantastical multi-tiered holiday celebration cakes," says NBC.

"Hour two is cookies. In their Signature Challenge, the bakers tackle bar cookies, showcasing everything from compotes to crumbles. In the Technical, Johnny challenges the bakers with a cookie that must be baked twice - biscotti. Then, in the Showstopper Bake, the bakers build elaborate 3D Iced Cookie Scenes."

The Great American Baking Show premieres at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, lasting until 10 p.m. ET/PT. You can live stream the series at ABC.com in select markets, though you'll need to enter your cable subscription information. the premiere will be on ABC.com and the ABC app Friday morning.
