Emma Stone is slated to host tonight's episode of Saturday Night Live with musical guest Shawn Mendes, and if you cannot watch it on television, here's how to watch the episode live online.

Stone returns to host SNL for the third time tonight, having previously hosted in October 2010 and November 2011. While it has been over five years since taking on hosting duties, she did appear in the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special as well, playing Roseanne Roseannadanna, a character originated by legendary cast member Gilda Radner.

This time around, Stone is promoting her new movie La La Land, an original musical set in Los Angeles that is already garnering rave reviews and major Oscar buzz. She has already won Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival and just received a Critics' Choice Award nomination for playing struggling actress Mia Dolan in the film.

As for the musical guest, this is Mendes' first stint on SNL. The singer-songwriter originated from the world of Vine where his six-second song covers gained him a huge following. He has since released two albums and multiple hit songs, including "Stitches", "Treat You Better" and "Mercy".

Saturday Night Live begins at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and lasts until approximately 1 a.m. ET/PT. If you are unable to watch the episode on TV, there are still a few options. You could try the NBC website's live stream, as long as you enter your cable subscription information. You can also look into Sling TV, which offers a live stream of the NBC channel. Choose the Sling Blue option to get a free seven-day trial.

If you are patient enough to wait, however, there are many options available. The episode will be uploaded on the NBC website, the NBC app and Hulu Sunday morning. If you don't have access to any of these, most of the sketches and performances will be available on YouTube for free.
