Professional race car driver Danica Patrick put a significant dent in the Daytona 500 this past week -- literally.

In her Daytona 500 debut yesterday, Patrick got tangled in the aftermath of an accident between fellow drivers and crashed her lime green Chevy.

During the second lap of the race, Elliott Sadler bumped Jimmie Johnson, sending him into the wall. Patrick, coming up fast behind the accident, spun into the infield, narrowly avoiding another collision by slipping between a pair of cars on the grass.

The 29-year-old GoDaddy.com spokeswoman wasn't hurt. After her crew repaired her battered car, Patrick got back in the race and finished 38th.

Yesterday's crash was the tail end of a bumpy four-day ride for the Patrick, whose car took two other hits in races over the weekend.
