Miley Cyrus was a victim of swatting for the second time Friday night, after a prankster placed a fake emergency call and gave Cyrus's home address, according to TMZ.

The female claiming to be calling from her closet reported that shots were fired in her home, sources said.

The prank call was phoned in to a 911 operator at 8:55 p.m. Friday, said a Los Angeles police officer at the North Hollywood station.

The Los Angeles Police Department allegedly responded to the call and found there was no crime underway at the property and determined the call was not real. The house was empty when they arrived on the scene and no one was injured. Cyrus was not at home at the time.

Swatting is the tricking of emergency law enforcement to respond to a call reporting an on-going serious incident.

The singer was first swatted in August 2012 when cops received a prank call reporting a possible break-in with shots fired at Cyrus' house.

On May 16, Cyrus revealed on Twitter the title of her new song We Can't Stop. She is slated to perform the song at the Billboard Awards Sunday, May 19.

Cyrus is engaged to The Last Song costar Liam Hemsworth. She announced their engagement in 2012. The two got complementary tattoos featuring Theodore Roosevelt quotes. Hers reads (in all lower caps): "so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat."

Hemsworth's says: "if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly."

Cyrus was recently voted by fans as #1 of the Maxim Hot 100 of 2013.

Cyrus is just the latest celebrity swatting victim. Other A-list names that have been subject to similar pranks in recent months include Khloé Kardashian, Lamar Odom, Anderson CooperJustin TimberlakeSelena Gomez.
