Fans of Kimye don't need to worry after all, as it appears rumors the pair was headed for a divorce seem to be just rumors.

Jonathan Cheban, a close friend of the couple, has debunked the rumors, telling E! During the Daily Mail holiday party that he found the story "hysterical" because it was so inaccurate.

"I just FaceTimed with Kim and Kanye and everyone's talking about some divorce rumors and I was laughing because I didn't hear that all day and I guess everybody else apparently here did and it's so funny to me because it's so not true," he said. "I don't know where people come up with stories but it's literally hysterical but Jennifer Aniston has been pregnant like 1,000 times so it's kind of a joke."

"They're in good spirits," he added. "I don't want to talk much about them because it's not my business but I do have to say that the divorcing is kind of hysterical, that I will mention, because I just spoke to both of them on FaceTime literally before I was coming here and when I heard that I literally burst out laughing."

The divorce rumors came after what has been a tough few months for the popular couple. Their troubles began when Kardashian was held at gunpoint and tied up during a robbery in Paris, an ordeal that has since kept her off social media and shying away from her usual bevy of public appearances. The day she was scheduled to make her first one however was the same day West was hospitalized for "exhaustion", following a number of rants during concerts and an eventual cancellation on the rest of the dates of his tour. He was hospitalized for nine days before being released on Nov. 30, and is continuing outpatient therapy and care.
