Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift performed her hit song 22 at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, the same night that she was up for 11 awards.

Swift, fun. and Maroon 5 lead the finalists with all three artists being finalists in 11 categories this year. Rihanna competed in 10 categories and Carly Rae Jepsen was nominated in nine.

Among her nominations is one for Top Artist, which she competed for against Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Maroon 5, and One Direction, including her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles. At last year's event Adele lead with 12 awards, including Top Artist, while LMFAO followed with six nods.

Swift, 23, is currently on her U.S. tour with English singer Ed Sheeran. In 2012, her album Red garnered the biggest debut sales week of any album in 2013, according to Billboard.

The singer performed on Sunday along with a slew of other musical acts, including Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Prince, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Chris Brown. The show featured over 15 live performances.

Born in Pennsylvania and then moved from a young age to Tennessee with her family, Swift has released a number of hit songs, most recently We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Were Trouble.

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards took place at Las Vegas' MGM Garden Arena and aired live on ABC.
