Will.i.am and Justin Bieber joined forces to perform their duet #thatPOWER at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.

The duo took to the stage along with a number of other musical acts that performed at the awards ceremony, including Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Icona Pop and Taylor Swift.

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards was held at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas and aired live on ABC. Bieber was up for a number of awards on Sunday, such as the coveted Top Artist nod. He was nominated in the category along with One Direction, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Maroon 5. The 19-year-old did not receive any nominations at the 2012 ceremony and hoped this year he would walk home with an award.

Swift, fun. and Maroon 5 lead the finalists at this year's event with 11 nominations each.

The music video for #thatPOWER premiered on YouTube on April 19 through VEVO and his 2013 album, titled #willpower, was released on April 23. The album was released by Interscope Records. Additional songs on #willpower include tracks with Britney Spears, Hit-Boy, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Wayne, Diddy, Chris Brown, Miley Cyrus, Skylar Grey, Juicy J, Nicole Scherzinger, Eva Simons, apl.de.ap, Baby Kaely and 2NE1.
