Nine more episodes and The Vampire Diaries Season 8 is set to bid its final goodbye after being on air since 2009. Of course, the iconic television series will feature major twist and turn of events that will show Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice King) reunion before the latter transfers to "The Originals" for good.

There might be a big chance for Klaus and Caroline to be reunited in the continuation of The Vampire Diaries Season 8. According to reports, the characters that have been loved by the many since TVD started will return along with this original family of vampires.

As Stefan (Paul Wesley) turns off his humanity switch, this might be an indication that his and Caroline's wedding plans might push through. As Caroline will be free again, there will be a chance for her and Klaus to bring back their tandem, "Klaroline."

Meanwhile, The Vampire Diaries Season 8 already revealed its winter closing episode. Fans can now expect more intense chapters as it is set to feature scenes that fans will never forget.

The much-loved heroes of the television series are going to face an enemy that they have never seen before and they try to take it down, they will leave a legacy for fans to remember. In fact, the show's creator Julie Plec revealed that they are going to pay an honor to all the efforts that they have made since the very start.

In an interview with TV Guide, Plec said that their plans for The Vampire Diaries Season 8 now outweigh are bigger than they can actually complete. However, she explained that they are pretty contented by just reliving their favorite scenes, characters and introduce once again the past elements of the show.

Plec wants to reintroduce Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) in The Vampire Diaries Season 8 along with the coming of the Mystic Falls carnival, Miss Mystic Falls and Founder's Day.

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 will return on The CW on Jan. 13, 2017.
