With the standalone anthology film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, now out of the way, Star Wars fans are now looking forward for the next installment in the main trilogy sequel, Star Wars: Episode 8. While not a lot is yet known about the exact events that will transpire in the next movie, a new report reveals that Carrie Fisher's own daughter, Billie Lourd, might be playing a bigger role this time around.

Lourd had actually appeared in the previous movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but not a lot of movie-goers may have noticed her. She apparently only appeared in a small number of scenes and had only one line, which was "General, are you seeing this?"

While her character, Lt. Connix, was named on the movie's end credits, not a lot of viewers know her character's name. During an interview with Build, the young actress had revealed that she is actually preparing for a much bigger role in Star Wars: Episode 8.

The interview itself was originally for Lourd's other project, Scream Queens, where she portrays the role of Chanel #3. However, the interview quickly shifted to a conversation about her upcoming role in the next Star Wars movie. Lourd even teased that she was actually trying to come up with phrases that could be used to hype up her fans for the upcoming film.

Lourd also revealed that she actually did not grow up as a Star Wars fan, despite her mother being one of franchise's main stars. The actress explained that growing up seeing her mom wearing a metal bikini wasn't really something normal and that it was also kind of scary as a child.

Star Wars: Episode 8 is scheduled to be released in theaters on Dec. 16, 2017. The movie will feature the return of the previous movie's cast along with some new cast members that will be playing different new characters.
