Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid Romance: Victoria Secret Model Says No To Beau's Marriage Proposal [VIDEO]
The hunky 23-year old former One Direction singer, Zayn Malik, and his 21-year old Victoria Secret model girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, have been together for almost a year now. Despite the relatively short time that they have been romantically linked, new reports are revealing that Zayn may be trying to push their relationship to the next level.
According to report from Life & Style magazine, via Cosmopolitan, Zayn may have actually asked his young girlfriend for her hand in marriage. Unfortunately, the marriage proposal was reportedly too much of a leap in terms of Gigi's commitment to Zayn, as the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star apparently turned him down.
The same report also cited a source close to the couple, who mentioned that Gigi was still very young and that she is obviously not yet ready to get married. Another reported reason for her refusal of the dreamy artist's proposal was her own experience with her mother, Yolanda Hadid.
Gigi's mother had gone through two messy divorces, which apparently resulted in her daughter's hesitation to immediately jump into marriage. The source also mentions that Gigi likely wants to make 100 percent sure that Zayn was the one for her, before she decides to make a lifetime commitment to him.
There may also be yet another reason for Gigi's refusal, as stated by a report from the Daily Mail. Zayn may have been moving too fast for the super model, given that he only just recently called off his engagement with British girl group singer, Perrie Edwards, back in August 2015.
Just a few months after their engagement was called off, Zayn Malik began to date Gigi Hadid, sometime around November last year. The couple also even split for a while back in June this year, but immediately got back together. Given their situation, fans couldn't really blame the model's decision, as she might not really be in a rush to tie the knot just yet.
